According to this article, and consistant with what I've learned using the iLipoXcell device for body sculpting and fat loss, achieving a heart rate of 65 percent of max (for your age) is the best method of burning fat stores for energy.  Greater intensity exercise seems to reduce appetite as well.

Much is being said in plastic surgery about the benefits of stem cells.  Most conversation amongst plastic surgeons relates to fat derived stem cells and the controversies revolve around whether they are best used after being concentrated (taken from fat that is discarded and added to the remaining fat) or used in normal concentrations.  The final word is not in however I have seen strong benefits in enhancing skin softness, youth and helping wrinkles in my face lift patients who have had fat injections for rejuvenation and volume restoration (both are important).

Here's an interesting article regarding a refreshing new option for an old problem:  keloid scars.  Often seen on earlobes the chest and head in Black, Hispanic and South Asian folks, they usually start to become prominent six months or more after a laceration or incision is made and are often worsened by attempts to have them removed.  5 FU injections have been advocated but here's an innovative way to self apply the medicine that's being developed in China.  If you or a friend have keloid scars you should be aware of this treament option:
